Cookie Policy
Effective Date: August 14, 2026 Last Updated: August 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LūM, LLC (“LūM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on LumDoc.com (the “Site”).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember your preferences, and provide insights into how visitors use the Site. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, and local storage.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
a. Essential Cookies
Necessary for the Site to function properly — such as enabling navigation, security, and access to core features. These cannot be disabled.
b. Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics (GA4), deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors interact with the Site (e.g., pages visited, time on site, referral source), so we can improve our content and user experience. This is managed through the Site Kit by Google integration on our site.
c. Performance & Security Cookies
- NitroPack — used for site speed optimization and caching. It may set cookies to manage cached content and deliver a faster browsing experience.
- CleanTalk Anti-Spam — used to help detect and prevent spam submitted through website forms and comments. It may set cookies to support this spam-detection process.
d. Functional Cookies
- Gravity Forms — our contact and intake form tool may use cookies to support form functionality, such as spam prevention or multi-step form progress.
- Web Accessibility Widget — may set a cookie to remember a visitor’s accessibility preferences (e.g., text size, contrast mode) between visits.
e. Advertising & Marketing Cookies
We do not currently use advertising, retargeting, or social media pixel cookies (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel or Google Ads conversion tracking) on the Site. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
3. About Our Page Builder (Elementor)
Our Site is built using Elementor, a WordPress page-building tool. Elementor itself does not track visitors or set advertising cookies. Some individual Elementor widgets used to build page features may set limited functional cookies to support their display or behavior (for example, sliders or interactive elements), but Elementor is not used as an analytics or marketing tracking tool on our Site.
4. Third-Party Cookies
The tools listed above (Google Analytics/GTM, NitroPack, CleanTalk) are third-party services that may place their own cookies as part of providing these features. These third parties may have access to certain technical data (such as IP address or browser information) necessary to perform their function. We do not control these third-party cookies directly; please refer to each provider’s own privacy and cookie policies for more information:
5. Health Information and Cookies
Cookies used on the Site are for general website functionality, analytics, and marketing purposes only. They are not used to collect, transmit, or store Protected Health Information (PHI). Any medical or health information you provide directly to our office (such as through a secure patient portal, phone call, or in-person visit) is handled separately in accordance with our Privacy Policy and HIPAA requirements — not through website cookies.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block cookies from particular sites
- Block all cookies from being set
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Site, such as appointment scheduling forms or personalized content.
If a cookie consent banner is displayed on the Site, you may also manage your preferences directly through that tool.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
